Director, Digital Marketing

Revolution Strategy is a boutique, full-service marketing communications agency located in the heart of Saint John, New Brunswick’s creative and historic uptown. Our agency also incubates startups that develop TV shows (like Real Houses Of…) and leading-edge media companies (like Civilized), with our sister office in Los Angeles.

Revolution is looking for a creative, experienced marketer to help grow our business and lead digital strategy development and implementation, with our team in Saint John.

As Director, Digital Marketing, you will work with clients to understand their brands, and develop and implement effective digital strategies to support and grow them. Based on your keen understanding of the digital space and users, you will design multi-faceted digital strategies that achieve results. You will also lead the development of individual projects, like websites and social media campaigns. And you’ll play a key role identifying and converting digital growth opportunities, and generally help advance this part of our business. A few specific activities you’ll lead include: 

  • Development of new business, as relates to digital marketing in particular
  • Development of digital marketing strategies, aligned with overarching brand and marketing plans
  • Web development projects, from strategy and structure development to oversight of design, programming and QA
  • Social media strategy development, recommending the right networks, content and approach for clients
  • Web and social media content development
  • Digital paid strategy development and oversight of creative development to support campaigns
  • Support to SEO growth through organic and paid strategies
  • Thought leadership on all things digital

 To be successful in this role, there are a few things we think you need:

  • A love of the Internet – you want to know what’s new, and why it’s working (or not)
  • A degree in marketing or a related field and 7 to 10 years’ relevant experience, a portion of which has been focused on digital marketing
  • Proven writing ability, preferably in an online environment
  • Proven experience and success with business development related to service delivery (preferably in an agency setting)
  • Experience developing and executing complex digital strategies, and more tactical web and social media strategies
  • Personal, regular use of social media
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to translate digital concepts to people who still love paper
