Geof is one of our in-house, self-proclaimed “design nerds” – graphic, interior, architectural, photographic, film – you name it. For him, excellent design is a lifestyle.
Geof is an award-winning industrial designer, with serious graphic design chops, which he puts to use on the daily at Revolution.
He has studied at Carleton University, the College for Creative Studies in Detroit and NBCC in Miramichi.
His career has been a fascinating one – spanning industrial, interior and graphic design. At one point, he worked in Amsterdam as a packaging designer in the botanics industry. At least that’s what his resume says.
In 2013, Geof was named one of Canada’s top 10 emerging designers by Azure Magazine. And his work has been featured in various magazines and online publications worldwide – from Germany to Japan.
Geof moved to Saint John in December 2014 (#unfortunatetiming #stormchips) and says he’s constantly inspired by the architecture and history of Uptown.
At Revolution, Geof has lent his talents to a number of major projects for clients including Cooke Aquaculture, Opportunities NB, LearnSphere Canada Inc. and the Saint John Airport.
Geof says one of his goals is to bring a modern flare to the Maritimes through his design work, by finding innovative ways to blend old with new. Like this.
One thing is for certain: he is a proud Saint Johner. Case in point? Ask him about his Saint John Pulp Benches – or come by the office and see ours.
