Sexual violence is any harmful behaviour felt by the victim to be of a sexual nature, which is unwanted and takes place without the consent or understanding of the victim.
 
It happens every day. Yet fewer than 1 in 20 incidents are reported.
 
How can we address and prevent sexual violence?
 
Revolution worked with the Government of New Brunswick and Fredericton Sexual Assault Centre to truly define the problem and its prevalence, enabling more people to recognize sexual violence when they see it and empowering them to call it out, report it, and support victims.
 
We employed a mix of compelling video and photography, paid and organic media, a resource-rich web presence and educational materials to create an impactful campaign that generates awareness and inspires action.

On Saturday, July 20, Moonlight Bazaar 3.0 presented by Civilized, reunited over 10,000 people under the moon to experience the unexpected. 

The signature event took place on the same day as the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing. Attendees gathered for telescopic viewings of the night sky by Astronomy by the Bay; Moosehead Breweries’ new, custom-built shipping container bar; clips from the 1969 Apollo 11 moon landing; pop-up roof-top music performances; an abundance of street vendors; and the unveiling of a permanent art installation sponsored by Commercial Properties Limited and Steward McKelvey, by world-renowned artist Dodo Ose. 

Once again Revolution Strategy was the agency behind the event. From event branding and media relations, to producing groundbreaking visuals, merchandise, promotional materials and digital / social media assets &mdash; Revolution kept the event on-brand and in the news.

Moonlight Bazaar 3.0 takes off

On June 16-18, 2019, Civilized hosted the second annual World Cannabis Congress (WCC) in historic Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. This three-day exclusive, invite-only event sets out to inspire, motivate and connect international cannabis leaders, influencers and trend setters through thought-provoking, carefully curated experiences and activations. The event attracted 630 delegates and 76 speakers to the city, including the iconic global business leader and author, Martha Stewart.
 
Similarly to the inaugural event, Revolution Strategy played an integral role supporting Civilized on all marketing, branding and communications efforts. Revolution was and continues to be the agency behind the overall WCC brand, website, app, branded materials, messaging and all things PR.
 
The WCC continues to impress delegates year after year &mdash; 96% of the 2019 delegates indicated they would be back to Saint John for the event next year. Not only did the event impress delegates, it generated incredible media coverage, gaining massive reach with exposure in both traditional and social media channels across North America, including a blog post on Martha Stewart’s blog. The overall media impressions amounted to more than 260 million reaching people across the globe with pick up in Forbes, DailyMail.com, ET Canada and Gizmodo to name a few.

World Cannabis Congress

This winter, Revolution developed a public awareness campaign for the Saint John Hotel Association (SJHA) that launched the first week of April 2019. The campaign spoke to the visitor economy’s contribution to Saint John’s overall growth and development while creating a palpable groundswell of momentum throughout the city. 

Revolution launched a phased campaign that was both creative and informative &mdash; a campaign that shared facts, stories, testimonials and instilled local pride in what Saint John has to offer. The campaign included an intricate combination of traditional and digital marketing, with video being the star. 

After 11 weeks in market, the campaign video generated strong buzz with over 100,000 organic views on social media and 2,200 shares.
